Terms of Service
These terms apply between Igor Kazazic (sole trader), Malmö, Sweden ("we") and the business that installs Lexara in its Shopify store ("you"). By accepting them in the app you agree to these terms, the Data Processing Agreement and the Privacy Policy, which form part of these terms.
1. The service
Lexara helps you organise information for EU product rules (GPSR, Directive (EU) 2024/825 on green claims, digital product passports, packaging and producer responsibility). It reads data from your Shopify store, stores compliance information you enter, and can write metafields, metaobjects and texts back to your store when you ask it to.
2. No legal advice
The app is an assistance tool and does not constitute legal advice. You remain responsible for your products, texts, labels, registrations and declarations meeting the requirements that apply to you. Check results and deadlines against official sources or with an adviser.
3. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for the changes you apply to your store through the app. You decide which of your staff get access and which role they have in the app.
4. Fees
Plans and prices are shown in the app. Fees are charged through Shopify's billing and appear on your Shopify invoice. Trials, upgrades, downgrades and cancellations are handled through Shopify.
5. Data protection
When the app processes personal data on your behalf (for example order IDs of your customers or your staff's names and e-mail addresses), you are the controller and we are the processor. The Data Processing Agreement governs that processing. Our own processing as a controller is described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Availability and changes
We aim for the app to be available and correct, but it is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted operation or fitness for a particular purpose. We may develop and change features. We will give at least 30 days' notice in the app before material changes to these terms, the Data Processing Agreement or the list of sub-processors.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit, fines or penalties imposed on you. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Term and termination
The agreement runs while the app is installed. You can end it at any time by uninstalling the app. After uninstallation Shopify sends a deletion request (shop/redact) and we delete your store's data as described in the Data Processing Agreement.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes are settled by the general courts of Sweden, unless mandatory law gives you another forum.
